Public School Bond Issues
for the Nov 8th Election in Sandoval County
Listed below are public school bond issues for Sandoval County for the Nov 7th, 2023 election.
- Cuba Independent Public Schools
$6,500,000 in bond questions to support capital projects such as remodeling existing school buildings, teacher salaries, building upgrades and other improvements. The bond would be funded in part by a $2 property tax imposed on each $1,000 of taxable land in the district for six years starting in 2025.
- Jemez Valley Public Schools
$2 property tax on each $1,000 of taxable land in the district for six years starting in 2025. The uncapped bond would be used to support capital improvement projects throughout the district.
- Bernalillo Public Schools
$2 property tax on each $1,000 of taxable land in the district for six years starting in 2025. The uncapped bond would be used to support capital improvement projects throughout the district.
- Rio Rancho Public Schools
$80M for capital improvement projects around the district. This includes safety and security upgrades, roof replacements, IT infrastructure upgrades, major construction projects, and more.
- Central New Mexico Community College
$80 million for projects at multiple CNM locations throughout Bernalillo County and Sandoval County. The bond would fund a permanent location for CNM’s FUSE Makerspace, which would create resources and educational programs for students, entrepreneurs, and community members. Support for the completion of CNM’s Trades and Applied Technology facility project, including more labs and equipment.
