TURNING OUT THE VOTE — HOW TO HELP TODAY!
Some of you may have heard that the NM R’s had a goal of registering 20,000 new R voters in 2024, but you may not know that THEY REACHED THEIR GOAL.Their goal for 2025 is to register 25,000 more R’s in New Mexico.Their goal is to flip New Mexico red, and if they reach their registration goal, it could be a very unfortunate reality.
BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?
The answer is simple and obvious, make it your personal goal to register 3 new Blue voters in 2025.
HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
It takes less than ten minutes to become a voter registrar. You can do this by going to the Bureau of Elections at the Sandoval County Administration building (located at 1500 Idalia Road, Building D, Bernalillo, NM 87004 – located in the Northwest corner of Rio Rancho 528 and Idalia Road).
You can also visit NMVote.org on any device with Internet access and help people register themselves.
WHERE?
You can do this literally anywhere you go that has a signal.Ask people you meet if they are registered to vote.Do not try to convince anyone to register one way or another; just register voters. If Sandoval County can register just 1,000 NEW DEM voters in 2025, we can keep our county blue.
NEW MEXICO CONTEXT (as supplied by the Democratic Party of New Mexico)
Kamala Harris carried New Mexico with 51.9% of the vote and 478,802 votes to Donald Trump’s 45.9% of the vote and 423,391 votes. Martin Heinrich carried New Mexico with 497,333 votes (55.1%) to Nella Domenici’s 405,978 (44.9%).
In New Mexico’s First Congressional District, Democrat Melanie Stansbury won with 56.4% of the vote and Harris earned 56% of the vote.
In New Mexico’s Second Congressional District, Democrat Gabe Vasquez won with 52.1% of the vote and Harris earned 49.0% of the vote.
In New Mexico’s Third Congressional District, Democrat Teresa Leger Fernandez won with 56.3% of the vote and 52% of the vote went to Vice President Harris.
Stay strong and stay blue.
Alexandria Piland, DPSC Chair
