From the County Chair – January 2025

by | Jan 9, 2025 | Message from the Chair, Newsletters

My Dear Democrats,

We need YOU

  1. We are looking to fill Precinct Chair positions.  Most are open.  Precinct Chairs will meet other democrats in your precinct and help them to become familiar with DPSC.  This includes our activities and volunteer opportunities.
  2. We are looking for a Newsletter Editor.  A Newsletter Editor will solicit, find, and review/edit articles and put them in order to be posted to our website.

This spring we will elect our Party Leadership.
We will vote for County Central Committee Members.  The County Central Committee Members will elect our State Central Committee Members.  State Central Committee Members will then vote for Democratic Party of New Mexico Leaders.
Additionally, we will be electing our County Party Executive Committee.  This means we are electing Ward Chairs, Vice Chairs, and the Chair of the Party.  I will not be running again.  One of our current Vice Chairs will be running to serve you as Chair for the next two years as your new Democratic Party of Sandoval County.

For your information, we are still staffing the office but our schedule is greatly reduced.  Please visit social media to see the hours we are open.

We will have our January Second Saturday on Saturday, January 11th at 11 a.m. at M’Tucci’s Moderno in Rio Rancho.  County Clerk Anne Brady Romero and Deputy Clerk Joey Dominguez will give an election recap.
