Deb Dapson wins Rio Rancho City Council District 1 Runoff Election!
Our own very favorite Deb Dapson won the runoff election for the District 1 Rio Rancho City Council seat over Jim Owen, a former mayor of Rio Rancho by a vote total of 442 (53%) to 398 (47%). During the regular election Deb received the most votes out of 3 candidates, 412 (44%). Owen came in second, only 14 votes behind Deb.
Deb’s runoff victory demonstrated how much she grew her vote and bested her opponent by 44 votes. So hats off to Deb Dapson! She was sworn in as a Rio Rancho City Council member on April 25th.
