She was recently awarded as a Woman of Influence by Albuquerque Business First for her work in bringing skilled trades training to rural and tribal communities. Joan is a former chair of the Democratic Party of Valencia County. Joan is working hard to ensure workers rights and the values of working families are upheld in New Mexico.
