Did You Know – Upcoming School Board Elections

There will be School Board elections within Sandoval County on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023.   The following school districts will have elections for school board members.  All of the districts have 5 member boards.

Bernalillo – 2 Seats up for election.  Web Page:   https://www.bernalillo-schools.org/
Cuba – 3 Seats up for election.  Web Page:  https://www.cuba.k12.nm.us/
Jemez Valley – 4 Seats up for election.  Web Page:  https://www.jvps.org/
Rio Rancho  – 2 Seats up for election.  Web Page:  https://www.rrps.net/

While school board elections are non-partisan in nature, we know that in many states the right-wing is working hard to control local school boards and impose an undemocratic agenda on them.  We don’t want that to happen here in Sandoval County.

We need to do our homework on existing board members running for reelection and any candidates challenging incumbents to make sure the crazies don’t get elected or reelected.  If you are interested in running for a school board position or want to support a local candidate, contact the Chair of the Democratic Party of Sandoval County at chair@sandovaldemocrats.org
