Volunteer of the Month – May 2023 – Nandini Pillai Kuehn
Nandini Pillai Kuehn is an active Sandoval Democrat. She is the Ward D Chair and has worked tirelessly to fill her Precinct Chair positions. (Ward D currently is the 2nd most organized ward in Sandoval County!) Her attention to details has helped us to focus several election cycle projects that include several post card outreach programs. Nandini has also co-developed a project to help increase participation in our party of historically marginalized people. Her contributions have been and are so valuable in helping to move our party forward!
Nandini has accumulated over 40 years of experience in health care and is currently retired after running her own consulting business, Health Services Consulting. She began her career in hospital administration as part of the management team at the University of California Hospitals in San Francisco. Nandini was the founder and board president of the New Mexico health insurance cooperative New Mexico Health Connections. She is the author of New Mexico: Health and Health Care in 2050. Ms. Kuehn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from California State University, East Bay, Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
